5 -- The announcement of their forthcoming marriage, in the Chicago Daily Tribune, 20 June 1947, p. 3, says that she was "the daughter of George P. Hawley, a Los Angeles general contractor." The Los Angeles Times, 11 July 1947, p. A6, calls her parents "Mr. and Mrs. George P. Hawley of Westwood Hills".

Her obituary, in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, 15 March 2004, said that she was a daughter of Della and George Hawley of Los Angeles.
